Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our established Midwifery Clinical Education team at Sandwell and West Birmingham (SWB). The successful applicant will mainly be responsible for the oversight of pre-registration Midwifery Students and will work closely with our academic partners to facilitate a high quality clinical placement experience and ensure readiness for professional registration. Following qualification, the post holder will continue to offer support during the transition to professional practice through our established preceptorship program. The post holder will also work alongside our established education team to deliver multi-disciplinary professional training to qualified staff and pre-registration students. Main duties of the job We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will be able to rise to the challenges of providing excellent midwifery education within our brand newmaternity unit, based at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. You must have some experience in education and staff development. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a small team in a Maternity and Neonatal setting delivering supported learning and assessment both in practice and in more formal settings.
