This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established manufacturing group going through a period of growth and success.
My client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician who can work unsupervised on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias with a good understanding of mechanical components.
Roles and responsibilities
Complete improvement tasks/planned maintenance
Fault finding; Panels, inverter, motors, switchgear, installation work, PLCs (Siemens S5 & S7)
Mechanical breakdowns on hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, press and injection moulding experience beneficial but not essential
Planned maintenance, predictive maintenance, autonomous maintenance, kaizen (an advantage)
Understanding of legionella checks, fire alarm system checks, permits to work, risk assessments
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
4 year indentured apprenticeship an advantage
City & Guilds or O.N.C in mechanical or electrical engineering a benefit
Lean technique knowledge (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, autonomous maintenance)
Appropriate IT skills (Word, Excel etc)
Understanding of HSE Policies
Problem solving techniques
Preventative maintenance techniques (predictive, planned)
