Agility are delighted to be working with a well-known organisation based in Preston who are looking for their next Finance and Payroll Officer. This is an exciting role for a detail-oriented individual who is looking for a fast-paced role.
What you will be doing:
1. Monitoring and checking the accuracy of the monthly payroll and any payroll related activity.
2. Processing monthly payroll information including starters, leavers, amendments, salary sacrifice schemes, and payments and deductions.
3. Posting the monthly payroll to the accounting ledger and performing a reconciliation of the actual monthly payroll to the accounting ledger.
4. Ensuring the accounting ledger accurately reflects the above statutory and pension-related payments.
5. Running and submitting the Monthly Reconciliation Report, identifying and rectifying errors as necessary.
6. Running and submitting the monthly Local Government Pension Scheme return, identifying and rectifying errors as necessary.
7. Updating employee budgeting systems for all employee changes.
8. Reconciling employee budgeting systems to monthly payroll, year-to-date payroll, and the ledger.
9. Providing employee forecasting on a regular basis.
10. Supporting the purchase ledger process, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and generating payment runs.
11. Other ad hoc duties.
What you will have:
1. Experience within Payroll and pension administrations.
2. Experience within Finance.
3. Grade C or upward in Maths and English.
4. Ability to work to deadlines.
5. Ability to work in a team.
In return you will receive:
1. Base salary pro-rata from £26,000 to £28,000 per annum DOE.
2. 22 days holiday + bank holidays.
3. 37 hours working week.
