Company Description: My client is a UK market leader selling into the NHS and Private Hospital market. They design, manufacture and distribute their own products selling them on contract with NHS Supply Chain and on local contracts at NHS Trust level. They are known and used in every hospital in the UK and have a good reputation for quality.
They are currently looking to bolster their hospital facing team with the recruitment of a North of England Sales Representative. Please note this is not a theatre based role.
The Position
The North of England Sales Account Manager will be well organised, professional and capable of building relationships at ward, project team or purchasing levels. The ideal candidate will have experience of selling fast moving equipment or consumables to the NHS (non-theatre) and into Healthcare markets and be based on the M62 so as to be in the heart of the territory.
The sales cycles are rapid and most days the sales person can expect to generate multiple quotes. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their time and remain focused on balancing and building a robust pipeline.
Responsibilities
1. Building solid and long-term relationships with NHS departments including Ward, Project Team and Purchasing.
2. Ensure there is widespread networking with key stakeholders / decision makers to promote the brand and products via planned appointments.
3. Managing the territory and be able to demonstrate effective time and travel management.
4. Promote and sell the company’s products.
5. Build a solid and balanced pipeline of prospects with Short, Medium and Long term projects ensuring this is centrally logged so required company support can be given.
6. Negotiating prices and discounts.
7. Work with the National Sales Manager to create a regional plan.
8. Follow up quotes / samples and close new business ensuring CRM reflects this.
Qualifications, Experience, Attributes
1. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience selling into the NHS / Healthcare markets at multiple stakeholder levels.
2. Must live on the M62 Corridor.
3. IT literate and proficient at CRM use.
4. Clean driving licence.
Package
1. Basic Salary up to £46k depending on experience.
2. Mobile Phone and Laptop.
3. 33 days holiday including statutory days.
We would also be interested in hearing from any candidates that are early stage with some proven external sales experience in stationary / hardware who feel they can adapt to NHS sales. The package will represent experience.
