Quality Health Safety & Environmental Manager

My client based in Barrow is looking for a QHSE Manager. They are a manufacturing and engineering company specialising in process equipment for Nuclear Industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for approvals, including first off article inspection reports
2. Manage supplier evaluations
3. Manage and measure quality control KPI’s for both product and process
4. Manage surveillance of Quality Management system and report at business quality review.
5. Generate and maintain company QHS&E procedures
6. Investigate and resolve supplier and internal non-conformities in a timely manner
7. Investigate and resolve customer complaints, ensuring all the stakeholders are involved and informed
8. Manage QHSE yearly schedule and manage and conduct internal audits
9. Be involved in the presentation of the annual management review
10. Host 3rd part audits including hazardous area, quality, environmental, H&S
11. Update and maintain company H&S registers
12. Complete customer questionnaires
13. Review all relevant Environmental legislation to ensure continuing compliance
14. Review other related legislation to ensure the organization adheres to regulatory compliance
15. Analyse and report quality & environmental metrics in line with business review schedule
16. Co-ordinate external & internal calibration
17. Promote healthy and safe working practices, engaging with all employees to raise H&S awareness
18. Conduct H&S risk assessments
19. Drive quality and environmental improvements across all departments
20. Manage the introduction & implementation of ISO 45001
21. Promote and engage in Lean manufacturing techniques across the company
Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5-years’ experience in engineering or degree, HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent subject.
2. Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis and devise suitable preventative actions.
3. Understanding of hazardous materials, processes and physical areas
Desirable Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, codes, and standards.
2. Continuous improvement skills (six sigma optional)
3. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Qualification desirable but not essential
4. PCN Level 2 DPI & Visual & MPI inspection qualifications (optional)
5. IOSHH/NEBOSH qualification
