Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other critical infrastructure systems.
Regularly monitor system performance, including hardware, software, and networks, to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues promptly.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure, including firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption.
Manage and execute backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, including handling support tickets, helping with system access, and addressing other IT-related issues.
Oversee the deployment of software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades across systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of systems configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting solutions.
Work closely with the IT team to integrate new technologies, resolve complex technical issues, and assist with projects.
Configure and maintain networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring network security and performance.
Manage and optimize cloud-based resources and services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, if applicable.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2+ years of experience in a Systems administration role or similar IT position.
Proficient in Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022), Linux/Unix (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
Familiar with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
Experience with network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange Server (or similar services).
Proficient in managing backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, etc.).
Proficiency in one or more CMS; WordPress is preferred
Experience with SEO principles and digital marketing tools
Solid understanding of HTML formatting, CSS Framework, Web Development framework, Photoshop editing, digital platforms, CMS, and web technologies.
Knowledge of database management and data security best practices.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Experience with analytics tools and reporting.
Proficiency in system administration and troubleshooting.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent is a plus.
