Asset and Wealth Management
Across Wealth Management, Goldman Sachs helps empower clients and customers around the world to reach their financial goals. Our advisor-led wealth management businesses provide financial planning, investment management, banking and comprehensive advice to a wide range of clients, including ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, as well as family offices, foundations and endowments, and corporations and their employees. Our consumer business provides digital solutions for customers to better spend, borrow, invest, and save. Across Wealth Management, our growth is driven by a relentless focus on our people, our clients and customers, and leading-edge technology, data and design.
Responsibilities:
1. Review established detection system-generated alerts to identify fraudulent activity related to transactions, compromised accounts, and account openings
2. Investigate risk identified, make sound subjective decisions to escalate risky accounts, place and remove restrictions on accounts, secure compromised accounts
3. Determine action required based on established procedures to protect the Bank’s assets; work with supervisor on handling more complex cases
4. Place appropriate hold on accounts deemed to have fraudulent activity. Track and document action taken in a timely and correct manner to provide a record of activity and meet audit and compliance requirements
5. Build rapport in communication with customers, merchants, financial institutions, and other personnel to resolve system problems or request additional information and / or documentation to support a decision on whether fraudulent activity has occurred
6. Meets established goals for all metrics, including call and case quality, productivity and customer acquisition by focusing on maximising service to customers
7. Assist in identifying and developing process enhancements to maximize efficiency of fraud detection activities as required
8. Identify risk and prevent loss from fraud reports, referrals from fraud email box, and return items (multiple sources/platforms)
9. Remains current on latest trends in industry, national and world fraud trends and prevention, and recommends tools, services and practices for improvement
10. Completes ongoing compliance and remedial training as scheduled
11. Works closely with Financial Crime to escalate cases where appropriate
Basic Qualifications:
12. 1-2 years Fraud or Investigations experience in a financial institution
13. Proficient with Microsoft Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
14. Strong understanding of the customer service experience
15. Must be self-directed, detail oriented, driven, and able to work independently in a team-oriented and fast paced environment.
16. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
17. Has flexibility to work late or arrive early as workload demands
Preferred Qualifications:
18. Degree/Diploma or equivalent military experience
19. Fraud Operations experience at a large retail bank
