Plant Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Up to £50,000

GI Pro are recruiting for a Plant Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for our Electrical and Electronics waste recycling client based in Newbury.

Days: Monday to Friday: 45 hours - Plus 4 hours Saturday mornings totalling 49 hours per week. Plus, overtime.

Offering a pay rate of up to £50,000 (depending on your experience).

Main Duties

* Inspect and troubleshoot industrial shredders, granulators, conveyor belts and other plant machinery.
* Fix faults on plant machinery or arrange for replacements to be installed.
* Conduct inspections on plant machinery.
* Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work for Lorries.
* Perform preventative maintenance.
* Conduct welding activities when necessary.
* Deal with breakdowns, unplanned problems, and repairs.
* Check functionality of safety systems.
* Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly.

Attributes and Experience

* Previous plant mechanical fitting and maintenance experience.
* Experience in repairing mobile plant such as forklifts and Lorries.
* Experience in repairing conveyor belts, industrial shredders, and granulators.
* Basic knowledge of electrical systems - represents an advantage, but not essential.
* Welding, fault finding, and problem-solving skills.
* UK Driving Licence.
