We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Supply Chain Development Manager (Readiness), to be involved in developing a global supply chain and creating opportunities for the wider industry.
Role Purpose
The Supply Chain Development Manager's role is responsible for fostering strong supplier relationships and driving strategic sourcing initiatives. Managing and improving the supplier performance to meet the agreed quality, cost, and delivery objectives, and our nuclear safety culture. Working closely with suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement, implementing development plans, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Ensuring that Rolls-Royce SMR are ready for producing our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing and implementing supplier development strategies to improve supplier performance
* Conducting regular assessments and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, cost and delivery requirements as well as health and safety
* Identifying opportunities for improvement in supplier processes and capabilities
* Collaborating with suppliers to develop and implement improvement plans
* Monitoring and tracking supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery and cost
* Facilitating communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal teams
What We Are Looking For
* The fundamental toolkit of process, personality and behavioural attributes that underpin the ability to provide credible advice and challenge to a wide variety of stakeholders
* Demonstrable experience in delivering supply chain development activity in accordance with the good practice expected of the nuclear industry
* Experience of applying the principles of Leadership and Management for Safety principles within their work (This area relates to the topic as defined by the International Atomic Energy Agency’s GSR Part 2)
* Awareness of how their role helps in the overall assurance that our product protects people from harm
* Integrity in leading by example in all aspects of Nuclear Safety Culture and have demonstrable capability to influence cultural change in teams and individuals
* Understand, analyze information and relay it into a development plan
* Project management skills to ensure that agreed milestones are achieved
* DMAIC toolset and implementation
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in an associated discipline or relevant industry certifications
* Experience in the nuclear industry or Risk/Governance environment
* Knowledge of LEAN DMAIC process
* Master black belt or Black belt preferable
