We are looking for an Assistant Catering Manager to join a busy team in Belfast. The role is working 40 hours per week within a corporate environment. The salary for this role is £35,200.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand and deliver all contractual terms
2. Communicate regularly with client (as agreed)
3. Action plans are completed following client satisfaction surveys
4. Promote the unit and act as a Compass Advocate at all times
5. Analyse and manage effectively all in-unit costs
6. Ensure full purchasing compliance
7. Monitor and manage GP
8. Ensure cost and sales records are accurately inputted and maintained
9. All food wastage is recorded and minimised
10. Ensure all customer requirements are communicated to all departments in advance to ensure effective planning
11. Complete labour schedule within the labour budget
12. Effectively minimise any agency and overtime spend
13. Adjust labour schedule in line with sales
14. Ensure budgets are understood and achieved
15. Ensure all costs are managed effectively within budget
Essential Criteria:
1. Leadership and team management skills for a small team of people
2. Minimum 3 years catering experience
3. Excellent financial acumen
4. Good knowledge and experience of working within restaurant environment
5. Experience of building relationships with client and other departments
6. Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
7. Strong communication & organisation skills
