We have an exciting opportunity available working within our packaging team at our expanding site at Masham.
The successful candidate will be working in our packaging operations, where we produce cans and bottles of our award-winning beers.
The candidate will work closely with other packaging functions, such as our Packaging, Maintenance, Quality and Distribution teams. The role offers the variation of working on multiple packaging lines.
Ideally, you would have experience within a Production and Packaging environment. Be hardworking and committed to ensuring that expected standards are met across all aspects of the working environment, such as Health and Safety, Quality and Communications.
You should have a positive approach, as well as being an excellent confident communicator with an ability to solve problems in a practical manner.
You should be able to work in a safe, organised and efficient manner. You will take pride in the end product and understand the role the packaging team has in delivering a great product to our customers.
Key responsibilities:
1. Packaging of all beers to relevant standards.
2. Maintain packaging, inventory, and housekeeping paperwork.
3. Operate packaging equipment.
4. Preparation of packaging lines including maintenance and changeovers.
5. Work safely.
6. Recording all data to packaging sheets, database and business software.
7. Ensure cleanliness & sanitation of all equipment, tanks and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality.
8. Have a passion for quality beer and quality workmanship.
9. Work well with co-workers.
10. Work safely within tight spaces and with various cleaning / sterilisation chemicals.
Other responsibilities:
1. A strong mechanical aptitude is a major plus.
2. All duties as outlined in the packaging shift duty checklist.
3. Work with and report any mechanical issues to the Shift Leader and Brewers.
4. Operate a forklift safely.
5. Assist other employees as necessary.
6. Willingness to work flexible schedules as required.

2. Standards of cleanliness of packaging and all related areas.
Person specification:
1. Packaging training (preferred)
2. Packaging experience (preferred)
3. Chemical handling experience
4. Work and communicate well with staff
5. Organised and detail oriented.
6. Ability to problem solve and get assistance as needed.
7. Positive attitude
8. Hardworking, reliable, and dedicated.
9. Physically capable of lifting heavy weights.
