WHAT TO EXPECT
Come and join JLR as an International Tax Manager, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our International Tax, Transfer Pricing and Customs team.
You will use your technical expertise of various international regimes to assist in advising on commercially driven projects while ensuring we have a compliant and optimised tax strategy. You will support the team in growing the value of the business.
You will be at the forefront of international tax matters, and there will be a strong link between transfer pricing and customs as the strategy for all these areas needs to be aligned. You will also assist in transfer pricing projects as required. You will play an important role in helping to define and drive the global tax strategy, ensuring compliance and assisting in defending the position.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Working with the business on various projects and with the Head of International Tax to provide advice and guidance on such projects, including management of multinational projects and coordination of internal and external stakeholders.
2. Working closely with the treasury team on various financing and cash extraction matters.
3. Advising on various restructures as the group evolves and modelling various scenarios.
4. Keeping up to date with changes in global tax legislation and considering the potential impact on the group.
5. Building networks across the wider business to support in monitoring change and providing subject matter expertise and guidance.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1. You’ll need to be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). Additional tax qualifications are desirable (CTA, ATT, ADIT).
2. Strong experience in international tax.
3. Good understanding of the BEPS initiatives, including Pillar 1 & 2.
4. Good understanding of transfer pricing.
