What will you be doing?
You'll be supporting the Head of Procurement in the implementation and delivery of new procurement governance framework for a client in the social housing sector. You'll need to build effective relationships at all levels of the business through collaborative working to ensure a professional, commercially minded approach to procurement is maintained at all times. You'll be responsible for driving the delivery of the procurement pipeline and ensuring the resulting contracts support the organisation's broader vision, mission and ambitions, such as fostering innovation, leveraging the supply chain, or delivering enhanced value to customers and communities. This is your opportunity to gain valuable transformation/implementation experience in a small team, increasing your exposure to various aspects of the strategic and tactical side of procurement.

What do you need to bring to the party?
To be successful in this role it's expected that you'll be able to demonstrate the majority of the following skills and experience:
* Strong knowledge of public sector procurement legislation, standards, procedures and techniques. Must be able to demonstrate proven experience running public sector tenders under PCR2015
* Evidence of delivering quality improvement and innovation initiatives within a procurement role
* Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage, influence and develop strong working relationships across all levels of a business
* Analytical mind set, comfortable working with and manipulating data sets
* CIPS level 4 or above is advantageous but not considered essential if the above experience can be clearly evidenced
* Willing and able to work in a hybrid arrangement, with 2-3 days a week on site in West Manchester to begin with, dropping to 1-2 from 6 months onward
