An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and clinically skilled nurse with a strong background in Urology and continence services to join our Urology specialist nursing team. The post holder will be expected to undertake urological assessments, assist clinicians with diagnostic procedures, and initiate further treatment following competency-based assessment and agreed use of protocols. Work independently running urodynamic clinics. The individual will also be expected to ensure the highest standard of personalised nursing care is delivered to patients and their families in partnership with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. The urology outpatient and diagnostic department offers patients rapid access to imaging and diagnosis, some of which are nurse led. The post holder will provide a specialised nursing service to patients with Urological symptoms and contribute towards the provision of a high quality Urology service in conjunction with the Multidisciplinary team.
The department is a fast growing specialty and focus is given on excellent patient experience, service delivery and customer care.

Our patients are benefitting from our Women’s Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
