Job Description:
Work Flexibility: Field-based
Maintain professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service business on Stryker’s products, ensuring compliance with quality systems and manufacturer specifications. Provide technical assistance and documentation to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Service Responsibility 60%
* Repair and check electronic/mechanical Stryker products
* Perform annual checks and calibration according to MDR on customer sites
* Fulfill service contracts with planned maintenance
* Install Stryker systems on customer sites (e.g., Integrated OR)
* Perform software & hardware upgrades
* Deliver technical training to internal and external stakeholders
1. Reporting 25%
* Document service activities thoroughly for internal and external reference
* Schedule customer visits in cooperation with Customer Service
* Ensure traceability of all field-based Stryker products through reporting tools
* Attend team meetings and deliver presentations to promote team development
2. Sales Support 10%
* Provide technical support to Product Managers and sales staff
* Assist customers and sales department with technical issues
* Support IT-related issues on certain instruments
* Escalate opportunities and issues appropriately
3. Head Office Support 5%
* Follow up diligently on all customer-initiated issues
* Ensure service is invoiced if not under warranty
Work Environment:
The role involves work in hospitals and theatres, engaging with key stakeholders such as theatre staff, EBME staff and managers, CSSD staff, procurement, and purchasing staff. Travel within the region is frequent, with accommodation provided or arranged per Stryker travel policy.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Respond to service complaints within defined turnaround times
* Maintain profitability of the field service business
* Achieve individual objectives set annually
Qualifications:
* Degree in engineering, medical electronics, camera technology, or equivalent, with specialization in electrical, electronic, telecommunications, mechanical, software, medical physics, or related fields
* Fluency in spoken and written English (technical and medical)
* Proficiency in IT (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook)
* Good skills in the local language
* Minimum 3 years experience in medical electronics with mechanical skills
* Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital environment and healthcare work
* Service-minded, quality-conscious, persistent, polite, accurate, positive, loyal, and stress-resistant
Travel:
Approximately 90% within the region, with accommodations arranged as per company policy.
