The Passive Network Operations Manager at AllPoints Fibre will report to the Head of Access Infrastructure Operation ensuring best practice and operational governance to seek and appropriately challenge current practices and processes where operational, commercial, and financial improvements can be introduced.
What you will be doing
* This role carries both a strategic and tactical mindset to support the APFN growth and ensure Network Operations grow a supportable, sustainable, and valued service.
* Work closely with all APFN functions and teams to identify and introduce operational improvements to customer experience, operational efficiency, and maintain highly available service where appropriate and cost effective to do so.
* Responsible for creating, documenting, and ensuring processes are maintained and followed to provide necessary Network Operations assurance with new Passive and Active infrastructure builds supporting robust handover processes into live service.
* Provide accurate and timely process and business analysis and reporting.
* Work closely with partners and service suppliers to ensure proper governance, assurance, and value is being realised.
* Contribute to the CAB process and challenge appropriately when risk is identified.
* Contribute to the Problem Management process providing support to resolution.
* Mentor and coach junior members of the Network Operations Team with regards quality and best practice.
* Support Network Operations project delivery and contribute to ensuring timescales are achieved.
* Specification Documentation covering all aspects of the physical network.
* Create and maintain Network Operations Document Library with knowledge management information and operational Wiki pages.
* Seek and support opportunities Automation to include RPA, Machine Learning to streamline process.
* Monitor & enforce adherence to standards & policies, ensure best practice and compliance to specification.
* SME and owner of auditable content, defining the minimum quality standards & quality platform for all aspects of the network (build/install/civils).
* Contribute Continuous improvement of processes and practices.
Essential:
* Experience within the Fibre Access/Telecomms industry.
* Excellent working knowledge of ITIL Framework and best practice.
* ITIL v4 Foundation Service Management.
* Educated to Degree standard or relevant industry experience.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
