Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Immediate & September Start Dates Available
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential skills for learning and life.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN.
2. Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
3. Helping to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
4. Supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and social-emotional needs.
5. Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction.
6. Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
1. Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
2. Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
3. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children’s development.
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
5. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training provided).
