Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Leeds - Must be able to travel between sites
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: DOE in the region of £45,000 pa
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will coordinate all routine maintenance and repairs across their sites. This role is crucial in ensuring that all buildings and equipment are maintained in optimal condition, supporting safety and reducing reliance on urgent repairs and breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
o Manage and lead the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
o Schedule and assign maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion of work.
2. Facility Management:
o Oversee routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and address issues proactively.
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment.
3. Budget and Resource Management:
o Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial guidelines.
o Source and manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialised maintenance services.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure that all maintenance operations comply with regulations, as well as safety and health standards.
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.
o Develop and implement emergency response plans related to maintenance, including fire safety.
o Act as the primary contact for emergency maintenance issues, responding promptly to urgent situations.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with other departments to understand their maintenance needs and provide excellent service.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities as needed.
