About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you'll be doing
As a Project Engineer (Fire), you will have the following accountabilities:
1. Plan & prepare Security risk assessment to support MEH Alliance installation team.
2. Provide weekly reports on Security Risk Assessments.
3. Design, programming, installation of CCTV, access control and security systems.
4. Manage Maintenance and service of CCTV and Access systems.
5. Manage Service calls and fault findings.
6. Participate and support fire Audits.
Qualification & Experience: Who we're looking for
Do you have?
1. Experience in Security Risk Assessment (both Temp and permanent).
2. Proven experience in service/maintenance and installation of CCTV and Security Installations.
3. Understanding of Digital Network Integration.
4. Able to use CAD / 3D models and understand layout.
5. SMSTS site safety training / CCNSG Safety Passport.
You must be able to:
1. Achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher).
Desirable:
1. Awareness of the UK nuclear site licence conditions.
2. Construction site work experience.
3. Awareness of UK Electrical Safety Regulations.
4. Awareness of electronics.
5. Awareness of FSO 23 BS 5839 and Fire Extinguishers.
