There has never been a more exciting time to join EQ Role Overview This is a varied and busy role where you’ll look after a portfolio of clients. No two days are the same as you’ll be involved in the process from start to finish. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives off a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Performing bank reconciliations. Preparing VAT returns. Liaising with clients and providing bookkeeping support. Undertaking client software set-ups Training clients on bookkeeping software Reviewing and maintaining online filing systems. Rolling forward accounts at the request of accountants. Administering electronic and manual bank records and mandates as required. Preparing correspondence to various parties. Cloud accounting. Creating, evaluating and submitting reports to clients. Our ideal candidate will be: Experienced: Ideally, you’ll have a bookkeeping qualification or training or have had experience in a similar role. A strong knowledge of Xero and Sage is essential. Skilled in numeracy and communication: You’ll have good numerical skills and excellent communication skills. You’ll find it natural to talk to clients over the phone and over email or Microsoft Teams. Collaborative: You’ll be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to share knowledge, support colleagues and be happy to work as part of a team to tight deadlines. Adaptable: You’ll be comfortable with change and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are open to new ideas and continuously seek ways to improve.
