Hours per week: 14 hours per week, ideally:
3 hours Thursday and Friday, 4 hours Saturday and Sunday
Times to be agreed.
Hourly pay rate: £13.15
This role is to assist my daughter while accessing the community and attending activities, ensuring she is safe near roads and when out and about. My daughter is friendly and sociable, she is lively but gentle and very kind. She likes like music, going to the park and ice-cream, she dislikes tidying her room, unfamiliar places and loud noises. A personal assistant who is female (due to personal care needs), calm, patient and gentle in their approach would be a good fit for our family.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Eating and drinking assistance
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship
Domestic tasks - assistance to:
Clean her room
Make her bed
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Shopping
Personal care:
Supervision and/or assistance using the toilet
Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets
Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting to get changed in swimming pool/gym.
Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat
Physiotherapy exercises
Candidate qualities:
