Key Stage 1 Class Teacher - Primary
Area: Peterborough
Salary: £150-210 per day (Agency working regulations to apply after 12 weeks)
Start date: September 2025
Hours of work: Full Time
Monarch Education is seeking a qualified Teacher to work in a Primary School. The role begins in September 2025. The school is open to applications from both ECTs and final year students. Experience in Key Stage 1 is advantageous but not essential.
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Hold QTS or QTLS
* Possess the ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils
* Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
* Have a desire to work with, inspire, and support children from all backgrounds and needs
* Have excellent behaviour management skills
* Understand the Teachers Standards and expectations
Main Responsibilities
* Teaching a variety of subjects to primary pupils
* Planning lessons and activities for whole class and group learning
* Supporting SEND children in their work within the classroom
* Managing challenging behaviours and implementing the school's behaviour policy
* Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
* Supervising during lunch and break times (if required)
* Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
* Building relationships with staff and pupils
* Collecting evidence of pupils' work to support assessments
* Providing feedback on pupils' progress to relevant staff
* Taking pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
* Potentially leading in a subject area
* Promoting a team approach to education involving stakeholders such as parents and carers
