Plant Controller
Location: Redditch
Salary: Dependant on experience
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30-16:30
Job Description:
Responsible for arranging plant, tool, and machinery to production teams across construction sites.
Requirements:
* You must have worked within a fast-paced construction, logistics, or transport industry.
Day-to-Day Duties:
1. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of plant requirements for the set region, working closely with the Site Manager and Contracts Manager to ensure effective productivity.
2. Co-ordinate and prepare weekly gas oil and diesel for plant and machinery across regional sites.
3. Work with diesel suppliers for best rates and ensure the best possible service level to meet business requirements.
4. Co-ordinate, oversee, and prepare all miscellaneous items for all regional sites including distribution of items across the business (Magnus, Lapwing, etc.).
5. Co-ordinate and oversee all site mixer requirements under hire desk; ensuring that business processes are followed, and necessary action is taken.
6. General administration/office duties to support the Plant department.
Person Specification:
* Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel).
* Previous experience delivering high-class customer service using product knowledge and expertise to fulfil programme demands.
* Ability to oversee regional workload, multi-task department needs, plan and prioritise, and shift priorities quickly in a fast-moving environment.
* Demonstrate methodical administration skills with good attention to detail.
* Demonstrate cost-effective techniques.
* Ability to build long-term external relationships.
* Excellent communication across all business levels.
* Execute objectives with efficiency and effectiveness, measuring and monitoring the progress of outcomes.
