An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of committed and dedicated staff; our current vacancy will include providing cover supervision across the 3-year groups, when required. The successful applicant will also be part of a class within school and will support a class teacher when cover supervision is not required. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of classes in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will supervise pupils during lessons, maintaining good behaviour for learning and ensuring that children are engaged in the tasks set by the teacher. Our Teaching Assistants work 8.00 am – 3.30 pm Monday – Friday including one break duty per week of 20 minutes. They also play a vital role as part of the Lunchtime Supervision team, supporting positive and structured play three times a week during lunch breaks, on a rota basis. The post will include: Supervising and managing a classroom of children in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring children remain on task and completing their work, supporting students with learning and offering guidance where necessary. Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe and respectful environment. Working closely with the teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of learning.
