A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics (Shoulder Surgery) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to commence from 05 February 2025 until 03 February 2026.
The post will provide excellent exposure in both elective and trauma surgery. The successful applicant will be involved in the care and management of patients in the clinic and ward and in both day-case and inpatient surgery.
The appointee will also be expected to be actively involved in both research and teaching.
In order to be considered applicants must have proven clinical experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics equivalent to 4 years at Specialty Registrar grade or higher. They must also have MRCS or equivalent.
The applicant must have Completion of Specialty Registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the UK or equivalent with CCT, and be fully registered with a license to practice with the General Medical Council at the time of application.
Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition. The Fellowship has had full PMETB approval as an out of training post and is likely to do so again on application to the successful applicant’s Deanery
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
