QHSE Manager Role Overview Acorn Engineering Limited is an established and recognised leader within the M&E and Facilities Management sector. Via our standards and reputation within this industry we have successfully attained a solid foundation of varied blue-chip clients both commercial and public. The QHSE Manager would be working to manage the ISO standards for the business which requires someone organised and confident. The aim of the QHSE Manager is to ensure the efficient and satisfactory functionality of the ISO standards of Acorn engineering Limited to guarantee smooth running of the business QHSE Manager Responsibilities • Management of ISO standards (H&S, Energy, Environmental and Quality) o Internal audits – provide training, guidance and preparation for audits o External audits – provide training, guidance and preparation for audits o Spot check audits o QSHE Meetings – internal to review progress o Communications to the teams o Context Workshops Meetings (SWOT Analysis) o Manage review and update the Document Control Register o Legal Compliance Reviews and maintain Legal Registers o Aspects and Impacts Register in line with Legal Compliance Registers o Waste Stream guidance o Co-ordinate Management Review Meetings o Non-Conformance Log o Objectives and targets o Policy statements o Process Maps o QSHE Team Responsibilities o Prepare and report ISO Progress to SMT Quarterly o Liaising with external H&S consultants • Documentation o Risk Assessments – maintain master templates o Method Statements – maintain master templates o COSHH register: Manage review and update the COSHH registers champion: o promote ESG policies within the company act as the point of contact for ESG strategy o Toolbox Talks – issue TBTs monthly and maintain tracker and records o Policies and procedures • Accidents and Incidents o Accident and Incident records and escalate investigations to relevant qualified personnel o Near Miss records • Sub-Contractor Procurement o Sub-Contractor Assessments tracker and requesting supporting documentation when required • TSSS o TSSS Meetings (agenda, meeting, actions recorded and closed promptly). • Tracking of H&S items throughout the company • Overseeing training • Quality assurance • Energy tracking QHSE Manager Requirements & Skills • Organised • Confident • Pro-active • Due diligent / Accurate • Work well in a team and individually • Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook • Have good people skills and be able to manage engineers • Deep understanding of relevant regulations • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety laws relevant to the industry • Ability to identify a risk or issue and be able to act to rectify • Strong leadership skills • The ability to work effectively in a team environment • Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook Accreditations • Annual renewal of accreditations • Tracking of accreditation items • Obtaining new accreditations Qualifications • A relevant qualification in Quality, Health & Safety, or Environmental Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor). • Proven experience in a QHSE management role within an engineering or manufacturing setting. • Strong knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
