Project Manager - Marine Fabrication
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager on behalf of our client, a leading company in the marine and structural engineering industry, to oversee the successful delivery of complex heavy fabrication projects.
This is a critical position, responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring all technical, financial, and stakeholder requirements are met. Role Overview: As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from the initial estimating, design, and planning stages through to final delivery. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing projects to ensure on-time delivery, while coordinating stakeholders and developing detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
Facilitating communication and collaboration among teams, monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications, while providing regular updates and reports to the senior leadership team and clients. Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in marine fabrication or construction, with the ability to perform well under pressure.
Experience working with military or defence contractors, particularly with MoD single-source contracting and SSRO requirements, is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
A solid understanding of the commercial aspects of projects, enabling you to make informed decisions while managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
An APM or Prince 2 Project Management qualification would be ideal, along with proficiency in project management software and tools. Why Consider This Opportunity?
