Our UK operations are rapidly expanding, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Legal Counsel to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Legal Counsel at Haidilao UK, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive legal support and guidance across all aspects of our business operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our business activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and advising on a wide range of legal matters. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a dynamic international company in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Legal Compliance: Ensure that all business operations and activities comply with UK laws, regulations, and industry standards.
* Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, leases, and employment contracts.
* Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice to mitigate them. Develop and implement risk management strategies.
* Dispute Resolution: Handle disputes and litigation, liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
* Corporate Governance: Advise on corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, company policies, and regulatory filings.
* Employment Law: Provide guidance on employment law issues, including employee relations, contracts, and terminations.
* Intellectual Property: Manage and protect the company’s intellectual property rights, including trademarks and copyrights.
* Mergers & Acquisitions: Support potential mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions by providing legal due diligence and drafting related documents.
* Regulatory Affairs: Monitor and advise on relevant regulatory changes and their impact on the business.
Qualifications:
* Qualified solicitor in the UK with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
* Extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably within the hospitality or retail sectors.
* Strong knowledge of UK contract law, employment law, and intellectual property law.
* Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide sound, practical legal advice.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Fluency in Mandarin is a plus but not required.
Welfare and Wages:
* Initial probation period will be 2 months or less if you perform above expectations.
