The Role:
As the Assembly Technician Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the assembly team and ensuring the seamless execution of production orders. This is a hands-on position where you’ll combine your technical expertise with leadership skills to deliver high-quality projects on time. Your key responsibilities include:
1. Leading and motivating a team of technicians.
2. Organising and scheduling assembly production orders.
3. Hands-on fitting and assembly of mechanical equipment.
4. Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and quality control standards.
5. Collaborating with engineers to implement design changes and continuous improvements.
6. Managing inventory and maintaining workshop efficiency.

About You:
We’re looking for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a proven ability to lead teams. Whether you’re currently in a leadership role or are ready to take the next step in your career, this opportunity is ideal for you if you have:
1. An NVQ/BTEC/HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in assembling and fitting mechanical equipment/rotating equipment, such as valves, pumps, and pressure systems.
3. The ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings.
4. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
5. Strong organisational, time-management, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience in lean manufacturing.
2. Familiarity with pipework and control equipment assembly.
3. Forklift or lifting equipment certifications (preferred but not essential).
