An opportunity has opened up for an experienced reserve officer with an interest in community engagement to join our team. We are recruiting for a reserves officer to join the Bedfordshire reserves team, working on some of the most important chalk downland sites in the Chilterns.

The Reserves Officer will report to the Senior Reserves Manager (Beds) and will lead the day-to-day running of key reserves in the North Chilterns Chalk living landscape – Blow’s Downs (owned by the Trust) and several sites owned by Luton Borough Council and managed by the Trust – Galley and Warden Hills, Dallow and Winsdon Hills, Bradger’s Hill and Stopsley Common. This will involve practical work, volunteer tasks, management planning and monitoring.
The role also involves an amount of time spent on community activities such as liaising with visitors and the local community and running walks and events.
The post holder will need to work closely with stakeholders and funders to build partnerships and achieve conservation aims.
