Team Manager - Catering Job description 37 hours/week (between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday). This is an exciting opportunity to lead the local authority’s Catering Service As a member of the Education, Early Years and Young Peoples Directorate extended management team, you will lead on the implementation of directorate’s service delivery plans, strategies, policies and performance management within the Catering Service. The post holder would be responsible for the effective management of the Catering Service, providing a high-quality service to schools, promoting healthy eating and wellbeing and thereby improving the outcomes of children and young people. You would be responsible for ensuring the services provided meet the local authority’s statutory duties regarding food provision within schools, food safety, health and safety, and compliance with nutritional requirements set out in the Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards and Requirements) (Wales) Regulations 2013 You will develop and sustain strong relationships with school leaders and governors, and ensure they are supported and challenged to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will also be responsible for maintaining a strong customer focussed, responsive, flexible culture within the service whilst ensuring an effective use of all resources, including people, finance, property and equipment, including budgetary planning, control and monitoring.
