Job summary Exciting opportunity for a highly a motivated Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our established, busy 30 bedded Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) at the Conquest Hospital. You will need to have a keen interest in surgery and be committed to delivering a high standard of patient care, whilst maintaining your own personal professional development. Main duties of the job To support the ward Matron and act in her absence in maintaining efficient, effective, safe delivery of patient care, within a supportive environment that promotes a responsive approach to changing Healthcare needs. To support the Ward Matron, and help develop the team and act as a mentor for new staff, junior staff, and student nurses. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and be able to fully interact with all members of the multidisciplinary team. They will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills within the clinical environment to ensure effective running of the shift 24 hours per day.
