Family Court Advisor - Social Worker, Private and Public Law, Bristol UK
Rate: £32 per hour
This is an ongoing contract offering a full-time schedule with the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children. We are seeking someone flexible and adventurous who is excited to explore a new opportunity that can impact positively on society.
Working within the Private and Public Law teams, you will engage in an array of diverse cases, supporting families to determine the best arrangements for the welfare and safety of children. You will also tackle serious cases alongside the local authority under Cafcass guidance. This role demands a compassionate and thorough Family Court Advisor with a genuine commitment to child welfare.

What you will do:
1. Conduct thorough assessments and engage directly with children to comprehend and communicate their wishes to the court
2. Use your expertise in risk assessment and mediation to advocate for the welfare and best interests of the child
3. Collaborate with families to offer assistance in resolving disputes around children's welfare arrangements
4. Liaise with local authorities to progress cases where significant concerns regarding child welfare are present
5. Prepare detailed reports and provide expert testimony to the courts when required
Requirements of the Social Worker:
1. Degree or equivalent qualification in social work
2. Current registration with Social Work England
3. Significant experience as a qualified Social Worker, particularly in frontline roles within the UK Social Services
