Credit Control Team Leader Location: Birmingham Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year Hours: Monday Friday, 8.30am 5.30pm Job type: Full-time, permanent Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Credit Control Team Leader to join their ever expanding team. You will be reporting to the Credit Manager. Responsibilities of the Credit Control Team Leader: To be inspirational, have dynamic leadership and effectively manage the Credit Control Team Manage the credit limit management to minimise the risk of bad debts. Ensure Credit Control policies and procedures are always maintained. Ensure the debit note management policies and procedures are always managed. Ensure the timely collection of cash and accurate recording of customer receipts to maximise cashflow and minimise past dues Lead the follow up of past dues Ensure a robust internal control environment around the sales ledger and past dues disclosure Work alongside Credit Manager and complete ad-hoc duties where necessary. Deputise for Credit Manager when required. Regular Customer visits to establish and build proficient and effective relationships. Requirements of the Credit Control Team Leader: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 3 to 5 years post qualification experience of CICM (Institute of Credit Management) or equivalent Inspirational leader and effective part of the Credit Control Management team. Possess strategic management skills to meet Credit goals and objectives Intermediate knowledge of Excel and AI skills Influencing others / taking the lead Understanding of financial principles and accounting concepts. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team. Detail-oriented and organized.
