Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
This role requires the post holder to provide specialist orthotic clinical care to patients. The post holder will have clinically autonomous input into the management of complex and rare clinical cases.
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, formulation and implementation of individualised treatment plans to facilitate patient goals and monitoring outcomes as required. They will use advance clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of evidence based practice to treat a range of patient groups.
Hold a broad caseload including adult and paediatric patients; work across hospital sites including inpatients and outpatients and within multi-disciplinary teams e.g. high risk diabetic foot clinic, spinal trauma, paediatrics.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will join a growing team to provide advanced orthotic clinical care to patients in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).
The post holder will ensure a patient centred approach whilst working within professional guidelines to ensure clinical effectiveness for optimal care pathways.
The post holder will be responsible for the safe provision of stock and bespoke orthotic devices.
They will be responsible for ensuring prescription decisions are made with best clinical judgements in a cost effective manner to provide high quality and best value orthotic care.
They will ensure risks are minimised and documented appropriately.
