About the Role
The post-holder will work in partnership with families, education providers, early years settings, local authority officers and other partners and key stakeholders to develop an Inclusion Strategy that enables services and settings to effectively meet the needs of young people with an aim of reducing exclusions and suspensions from schools.
The post-holder will contribute to the oversight and development of the Vulnerable Support Pathway and will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Behaviour Support team and the Routes to Inclusion Team.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience of working in the education sector, specifically secondary, and ideally in a disadvantaged urban area.
2. Experience as a service leader in a complex organisation, with experience of delivering against outcomes and creating a culture of continuous improvement
3. Experience of successfully leading teams, with experience of motivating people and creating high performing services, empowering others to take decisions and successfully managing wellbeing and resilience.
4. Ability to lead services through change, with experience of leading change programmes, bringing others on the journey with you and identifying and delivering innovative service delivery models.
5. Understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by vulnerable young people, and how this relates to their educational outcomes and experiences.
6. Understanding of the challenges in Nottingham and the Education Landscape.
7. A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
