About the Role
Flintshire County Council is seeking a Resettlement Caseworker to join our dedicated Housing team on a temporary basis. The role involves providing intensive, user-centred support to refugee families resettling in the area, working closely with multiple agencies to ensure successful integration into the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload, delivering advice on housing, benefits, and financial management.
Provide practical, emotional, and organizational support to families, including making necessary preparations for their arrival.
Ensure smooth coordination with other service providers, attending meetings and working with statutory and voluntary sector partners.
Support families in accessing services, including translation services and applications for benefits.
Maintain accurate records and report progress as required.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in housing, benefits, or debt advice.
Experience managing a caseload independently.
Excellent knowledge of statutory and voluntary sector services available to resettling families.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with partners and agencies.
ICT proficiency, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Desirable:
Experience working with refugees, interpreters, or in the third sector.
Car driver with access to a vehicle.
