As Hotel Service Manager Freeman, you will lead and line manage over 300 Domestic staff, including rapid response, linen, and laundry staff, as well as deputy hotel services manager, senior, supervisory, and team members. You will ensure adherence to all Trust policies, liaising with clinical and infection prevention colleagues to provide seamless service throughout the Trust. Maintain high staff compliance with all statutory and mandatory training, acting with civility in line with the Trust's Civility charter.
As a senior leader within Facilities, you will communicate effectively, compassionately, and empathetically, ensuring all necessary Trust, Estates, and Facilities information is transparently cascaded throughout your team. Support and implement change management when required, supporting staff through transitions with assistance from the Senior Facilities Management team and wider Trust partners in HR and Finance.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide effective delivery and management of Hotel Services to meet the recognised National Standards for Healthcare Cleanliness 2025 (NSHC2025).
2. Support the Senior Management Team within Facilities, working alongside the Head of Facilities and Deputy.
3. Lead staff and resource management to meet service needs and deliver high standards within allocated resources.
4. Proactively manage recruitment and selection of staff.
5. Manage changing room facilities in line with Trust policy.
6. Motivate and lead a large, dynamic workforce to ensure high-quality Hotel Services.
7. Support the implementation and management of change, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
8. Manage subcontractors and ensure the supply of quality linen to end users.
9. Ensure compliance with the Health Act 2006 within your responsibilities.
10. Develop and align departmental policies and strategies with Trust policies.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Understanding of cleaning methods and practices.
* Experience managing a large workforce.
* Proficient with relevant software.
* Knowledge of Trust policies and payroll systems.
* Completion of facilitator courses in COSHH, Risk Assessments, etc.
