ATA are supporting one of their longest-standing clients on a search to join their team close to Thatcham. The group, steeped in British history, has been operating since the 1960s, with some of their products dating back to the 19th century, and they are one of the UK’s most recognized and respected construction brands. One of 15 sites, the site based in Thatcham has been a well-established employer in the area for over 40 years and has seen continuous periods of significant growth in recent times. This has allowed them to invest heavily into the site, running continuous improvement projects, training and developing employees, and buying new plant machinery. The ongoing investment within the site has cemented their long-term commitment to the local area as an employer of choice for the foreseeable future.
About the role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining PLC-controlled machinery within an industrial manufacturing setting.
* Planned preventative maintenance
* Reacting to breakdowns
* Electrical fault finding on 3 phase equipment.
* Working in conjunction with the group's LEAN and continuous improvement plans.
Plant machinery includes cutters, overhead cranes, belt conveyors, roller conveyors, casting cars, robotics, shrink wrapping machinery, and autoclaves.
About you
As a Maintenance Electrician, you should have the following:
* A strong electrical skillset, ideally from working within an industrial automated environment (dusty, hot, and heavy).
* Sound understanding of motor theory.
* Experience working within control panels.
* Experience fault finding on automated machinery.
* Recognized engineering qualification (Level 3 or above).
