About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at a SEN-school in Plymouth. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting and educating students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN
* Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support
* Collaborate with other teachers and professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of students
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in SEN settings
* Strong understanding of different types of special educational needs and strategies to support them
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
* Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about working with students with SEN
* Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

The successful candidate will be paid according to the main pay scales, depending on their experience. The salary for this position is approximately £25,000 - £40,000 per annum.
