Qualified Psychologist - Hybrid - Children's Residential Homes
Location: Wrexham but home-based with travel to visit the homes in your area

Salary: up to £63,000 DOE

Compass Associates is proud to be working with a leading provider of children's specialist services, to recruit Qualified Psychologists to join their Children's Clinical Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical, Forensic, Counselling or Educational Psychologist who has experience working with children.
You'd divide your week between working from home and travelling to visit the children's residential homes within your geographical remit. The homes provide specialist care and support for children and young people who have backgrounds of complex trauma, learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and challenging behaviours.
Your clinical responsibilities include carrying out assessments and consultations, formulating therapeutic plans and carrying out some direct, trauma-informed work with the children and young people. In addition to this, you will deliver training and provide advice to residential staff on how to best support children in their care. You will have senior support from the Clinical Lead and Associate Clinical Director, as well as work closely with the other Qualified Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Creative Therapists and Psychotherapists.
Location
This is a hybrid role where you will be home-based but required to spend at least 2 days/week travelling to visit services in your area. This role covers homes in and around the Wrexham area so would be accessible for candidates who live in North Wales, Chester, Oswestry, Mold, Whitchurch, Crewe and surrounding towns.
Essential criteria
1. Doctorate level degree in Clinical, Counselling, Forensic or Educational Psychology
2. Full HCPC registration without conditions
3. UK Driving Licence and access to own car is essential
4. Clear and enhanced DBS
5. Experience working with children and young people within CAMHS, residential or specialist education settings
6. Good understanding of residential care, trauma-informed practice and multidisciplinary working
Interview Process
This is a two stage process which includes an informal conversation with the Associate Clinical Director, followed by a formal interview via Teams.
