New Horizons Club, Melton, Suffolk IP12 1LX £15 per hour 12 hours per week (Mondays and Thursday, 9am – 3pm) Self employment Reference: 0025 New Horizons Club, based at St Audry's Hall, are looking for someone to run their Lunch and Leisure Activities Club for the over 60s age group. The main purpose of the role is to take charge of the smooth running of the club through administration, communication and organisation. Responsibilities include: ensuring that the members have a day of light-hearted enjoyment through promoting good team working among the volunteers compliance with Health and Safety Regulations in the hall and with other club policies and procedures planning and arranging activities and entertainment, supervision of volunteers and keeping in contact with volunteers and members and/or families when absent maintaining member and volunteer rotas and records and petty cash records. You will need: good leadership/organisational skills empathy with older people numeracy and computer literacy manual Handling First Aid experience and safequarding training are preferred. About us New Horizons Club is a not-for-profit organisation run by a committee of volunteers. It is a community group focusing on the needs of the older generation, meeting twice a week, 10am – 2.30pm, aiming to provide a fun day out with varied activities and socialising, along with refreshments and home cooked lunch. There are currently 15 - 20 members daily. The Club Leader will be working with a team of enthusiastic volunteers all looking to promote an environment where the members experience a day of social, emotional and physical well-being.
