Job title: Engineering Team Leader Location: Vitacress Herbs (Runcton, Chichester) Salary range: £45,000 - £47,000 depending on experience. Shift pattern: Working 9 days out of 14. 6am-3.30pm. Well this could be the right opportunity for you As our new Engineering Team Leader Engineering Team Leader you will ideally have a hands on approach in managing your team within a busy environment. You will also ensure that communication is of the highest standard preventing conflict and confusion between production staff and engineering team members. The ability to lead and develop a small team of maintenance engineers, ensuring they receive communication and training will be essential, with an opportunity to work closely with production staff members within the factory to build on the relationship between production and engineering. Main responsibilities: Responsible for continuously striving to improve OEE (overall equipment efficiency) by efficiently and effectively reducing breakdowns of factory machinery. To ensure that communication is of the highest standard preventing conflict and confusion between production staff and engineering team members. Through submitting continuous improvement ideas i.e. plan, implement and review with the focus of reducing down time on machinery and reducing waste Complete administrative paperwork such as signing off work orders, raising corrective work orders (including planning/organising planned maintenance and repairs); time sheets and wages information along with any other employment forms Ensure that production specifications and quality standards are adhered to. Be able to monitor team performance and carry out performance review of team members. Support Autonomous Maintenance. Achieve and sustain a high level of GMP. Liaise with external suppliers and agencies, along with internal company engineering colleagues. You will have outstanding communication and team leadership skills - Essential, with the ability to liaise and work with external suppliers and agencies successfully. A Level 3 National certificate in electrical/electronic engineering or similar would be essential. If you also have a Health & Safety certificate, IOSH or a certificate in leadership/management this would be desirable.
