We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team, a well-established nursery providing outstanding care and education for children aged 0-5.
As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping children thrive, developing key skills through engaging activities and tailored learning plans.
About us:
We are a small, homely setting who have a passion for environments and nature, situated in a quiet leafy area of Finchampstead. We have been awarded our Eco schools Green Flag award and all of our older rooms have free flow access to the gardens throughout the day. We have Mini Nature Artist classes every other week within preschool which combines our love for nature with art and helps to develop our Oak Tree Oasis which is a little garden at the front of the nursery where we plan to grow our own plants to make natural inks to create artwork with.
The nursery is a beautiful setting with 4 children’s rooms spread across 2 floors of the building. our high-quality friendly team are dedicated to our individual curriculum focusing on being eco-conscious and supporting the local community; being curious, exploring individuals; and learning in awe and wonder being celebrated by the staff. Our nursery is open from 7.30am - 18:30pm and we would require you to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times.
Staffs strenghts and achievements are celebrated in various ways and are given opportunities to develop skills or take on additional roles to support the staffs development and progression. We hold regular staff welfare events such as kindenes week where they celebrate each other through various acts of kindness.

Nursery Nurse duties and responsibilities*:
* Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
* Ensure that company policies and procedures are read, applied, reviewed regularly and adhered to by all
* Observe, support and extend children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with the highest quality and relevance
* Ensure children are supervised and attended to at all times, maintaining appropriate staff:child ratios
* Ensure positive partnerships with parents/carers with thorough handover on daily collection and encourage their involvement in the nursery
* Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families.
* Ensure that each child’s individual needs are met and a high standard of professional care and education is delivered in a caring, safe and secure environment in which all children can play, learn and develop
* Observe, assess and plan an interesting, stimulating and challenging range of early years activities which supports each child’s individual learning and development needs and abilities.

Requirements and skills:
* Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
* Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
* Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
* Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
