We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Sheffield Contentious Restructuring & Insolvency team.
Our Contentious Restructuring & Insolvency team has a wide area of expertise, focusing on litigation relating to insolvency matters; including advising insolvency practitioners, debtors, and creditors on all matters arising in relation to personal and corporate insolvency.
As a Paralegal, you’ll work to support leading solicitors and experts on interesting and diverse cases. You’ll be expected to provide assistance with regard to the team's clients and caseloads, including dealing with new client enquiries, drafting documents, conducting legal research, speaking with clients, experts, counsel, and supporting the team's business development activities. You will also be expected to deal with/case manage, on a day-to-day basis, procedural Insolvency Act 1986 and Companies Act 2006 applications under supervision.
Working within the team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with leading individuals on landmark cases and will be supported by them to further your knowledge of Litigation as well as Restructuring and Insolvency law. Previous paralegal experience is not essential, but you must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in these areas of law. As we pride ourselves on excellent client care, you will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Given the nature of the role, you'll need to be commercially minded and communicate with professionalism at all times.
