NDT Technician Opportunity Our client are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North East of England. With over 40 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components and systems, they excel in providing their customers with the specialised products. This is a fantastic time to join us the business. They have recently joined the a renowned Engineering Group who employ nearly 300 employees across their two Companies. To be successful in this NDT Technician role you will: • Have experience of NDT in-process and finished machined components and high integrity fabrication welds, ensuring they comply with customer specifications • Have a strong NDT background with a minimum of PCN level 2 qualifications in MPI, LPI and UT (3.1 / 3.2) • Be experienced in producing technical NDT reports • Understand the differences between Ferromagnetic & Non-Ferromagnetic Alloy materials • Have strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages include excel and word •Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment •Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements •Be willing to increase your knowledge and undertake personal development •Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others • Have experience of working within an Engineering production environment • Knowledge of welding processes (e.g., clad overlay) and an understanding of Engineering Standards such as ASME / API would be an advantage but not essential • Assisting in various other QC activities such as Pressure Testing, Hardness Testing and Heat Treatment, PMI, Thickness Checks Requirements:- •DPI PCN Level 2 •UT (3.1, 3.2) PCN Level 2 •MPI PCN Level 2
