Join us in supporting the Head of Regulated Products (Road) to manage the AA’s top-tier breakdown cover products. You'll ensure our UK and European Breakdown cover propositions are market-leading, delivering exceptional service and value to our customers across both direct and indirect B2C and B2B markets.
Your role will involve developing new products and optimising existing ones to meet our customer and commercial goals. You'll also ensure our products comply with regulatory requirements, working closely with our Compliance, Legal, and Operational teams.
What will I be doing?
* Manage the AA’s flagship products: UK Breakdown Cover and European Breakdown Cover, contributing £400 million in EBITDA annually.
* Apply Consumer Duty principles across the AA Road portfolio, ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment.
* Ensure all Road products comply with Consumer Duty regulations, delivering fair value and excellent customer outcomes.
* Develop and implement the Road product strategy, meeting governance and commercial objectives.
* Oversee product enhancements, ensuring commercial benefits are realised.
* Provide expertise on the AA’s Road products.
* Lead the breakdown cover aspect of the AA Membership/Loyalty Strategy.
* Optimise product performance, enhancing customer and commercial outcomes.
* Ensure excellent Customer Experience, collaborating with Road Operations, Customer Operations, and third parties.
* Lead the service protection strategy, aligning with Legal and Compliance stakeholders and improving consumer Terms and Conditions.
What do I need?
* Proven experience in product development and management within a regulated service environment, preferably with high-profile products and complex service delivery models.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into effective, communicable solutions.
* Demonstrated knowledge of managing product development in a regulated environment.
* Experience in product delivery from ideation to launch, including business case justification.
* Familiarity with FCA General Insurance Pricing Practices (PS21/5) and Consumer Duty (PS22/9).
* Strong consumer-led thinking, with the ability to gather and apply relevant insights.
* Strong commercial acumen, understanding revenue and profit levers, supported by strong analytical skills.
* Highly skilled in stakeholder management, building strong relationships to support team delivery.
* Effective in influencing and managing within a complex matrix organisation.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering a thriving team culture.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including IT budgets, prioritisation, and conflict resolution.
* Strong initiative and follow-through skills, ensuring timely and organised delivery.
