Role Overview As the Repairs Services Officer, you will provide proactive administrative support to the repairs and disrepair team and areas of responsibility include: Liaison and Communication: Act as a key liaison between the repairs operations team, front-line services, and other housing departments, ensuring effective communication and timely responses to customer queries and requests for repairs. Repairs and Service Management: Oversee the accurate diagnosis and timely completion of disrepair cases for Council properties, ensuring that all works are managed efficiently, and outstanding issues are resolved in line with agreed timescales and procedures. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Monitor service quality through site inspections, customer feedback, and post-inspection reviews, to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, value for money, and high customer satisfaction. About you Building Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of site construction, building management, and relevant legislation. Customer Care Excellence: Proven experience in delivering outstanding customer service, including a practical understanding of how to measure and improve customer care IT Proficiency: A high level of IT literacy, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel Proactive & Customer-Focused Approach: A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities, problem-solve, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure. Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, stakeholders, and external partners. Team Collaboration: Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues across departments Experience working within responsive repairs for a social housing provider, dealing with repairs-related queries and issues Why Croydon Council?
