Responsibilities
* Business partner with the senior leadership team and build strong relationships between finance and all other departments at the site, ensuring engagement and understanding of financial impacts.
* Be the site finance lead in relation to the daily and weekly QCDM process.
* Coach and develop the site finance team and encourage support at the daily and weekly QCDM.
* Lead site activities related to the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting and management information.
* Be the link between the site finance team and the SFM, escalating issues as appropriate.
* Ownership of period-end financial reporting and presenting results to the central finance team.
* Lead the site AOP build.
* Support SFM in delivering site financial priorities.
* Ensure GCS and SOX compliance is adhered to at all times.
* Coach and develop the site finance team, including career planning, objective setting, prioritisation of tasks, and managing day-to-day performance.
* Responsible for monthly financial reporting of site performance to the BU, ensuring that all systems are updated correctly.
* Business partnering with budget holders and site senior leadership team to ensure engagement and that financial priorities are understood and discussed in the correct forums.
* Responsible for ensuring that the Management Accountants provide timely information to the shift leadership teams and other relevant stakeholders to drive site financial performance.
* Lead site AOP build with inputs from the Management Accountants, reviewing with SFM prior to submission.
* Attend the daily and weekly QCDM, actively participating in these meetings to ensure alignment on cost KPI’s between operational teams and finance, providing coaching if required.
* Support site Kaizen Leaders and Green Belts with project charters, savings calculations, and tracking of productivity delivery in power steering.
* Finance lead for inventory counts (fixed assets, engineering spares, raw materials, and finished goods).
* Ensure GCS and SOX compliance, working with the Management Accountants and Financial Control team to establish and embed relevant financial controls at the site.
* Work with the SFM to set the agenda for the Projects & Systems Accountant.
* Support the SFM with other work streams as required and deputise in their absence.
Qualifications
* CIMA/ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
* Manufacturing accounting experience.
* Business partnering experience.
* Development and coaching experience.
* Experience of working with Lean manufacturing (QCDM).
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Drive for results and ability to work under pressure (role is deadline driven).
* Ability to influence upwards to affect results and progress of the action plan and AOP.
* Strong communication skills to all levels.
