Graduate Teaching Assistant – Levenshulme Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time position begins in October and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to be made permanent depending on performance. The role offers a competitive weekly pay rate of £419.25 - £500. Role Overview: As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students across a variety of subjects, working closely with teachers to ensure all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons by providing academic support to students, both individually and in groups. Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. One-to-One and Small Group Work: Provide focused support to students who require additional help, tailoring your approach to meet their individual learning needs and helping them to overcome academic challenges. Resource Development: Aid in the creation and adaptation of educational materials to support learning. This includes preparing resources for different ability levels and ensuring that all students are engaged and challenged. Student Engagement: Encourage and motivate students to participate fully in their learning, helping to build their confidence and enthusiasm for education. Support students in developing effective study habits and learning strategies. Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking student progress, providing feedback to teachers, and contributing to the planning and delivery of targeted interventions where necessary. Supporting Exam Preparation: Help students prepare for assessments by providing guidance on revision techniques, supporting them with key concepts, and helping them to build confidence ahead of exams. Ideal Candidate: A recent graduate with a strong academic background in any subject area. Passionate about education and eager to contribute to student success. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. Proactive, patient, and adaptable, with a commitment to supporting student learning and development. Experience working with young people, particularly in an educational setting, is advantageous but not essential.
